Maritime Resident Doctors Statement on Racism and Discrimination 

MarDocs stands in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC), the LGBTQ+ community, and all visible minorities, religions, and creeds.

We stand in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

We strongly condemn all forms of racism and the resulting social inequalities experienced by minorities.

We need to work towards building positive, safe, and diverse learning and working environments in medicine. We will continue to advocate for our members and against the systemic racism that exists in medical institutions.

We want these conversations ongoing and to remain strong. MarDocs wants to hear from you, our members, about ways in which we can better support minorities, be more inclusive and any other actions that we can take in fighting racism and discrimination.
