Despite the extra work, he never complained and was an excellent example for our co-residents. On top of this, his period as chief overlapped with our internal review, which he handled without issues."

In addition to his leadership, Dr. Ali balances his other responsibilities as well.

"Malik does all this while balancing his clinical duties, substantial research endeavours, and a number of resident leadership/committee roles. He is an avid and invested teacher of medical students and regularly seeks out teaching and learning opportunities. He is a very valued member of our team, and we all enjoy having him around and what he brings to our program."
