Maritime Resident Doctors is the administrator of the mandatory resident group benefits plan. Canada Life is the benefits provider for extended health care, dental coverage, travel, life and disability insurance. Sutton Special Risk is the provider for accidental death and dismemberment insurance. As a resident, you must be enrolled in the group benefit plan, however, if you are currently on your partner’s benefits plan, you may waive medical and dental coverage, when you show proof of your alternate coverage. The long-term disability, life and accidential death and dismemberment insurance are mandatory.
